Today we reviewed answers for our Ch 16 study guide and were able to play a bingo game.

As we wrap up our study of Chapter 16, students learned about the history of conflict in Israel.

Our class assignment centered around eight new Economic terms.  Tomorrow we'll look at how these economic systems work in the Middle East.  Students should complete their worksheet which must have the following:  a definition, at least two characteristics, two examples and an illustration for each term. 

Homework:  Complete Economic Vocabulary worksheet and make it colorful. 

Homework:

1. Bring in a political cartoon. Use newspapers or magazines as a source of reference, not the internet.

2.  Chapter 16 Study Guide due

We began our day with a discussion of the day's current events.  Then students worked with their groups to analyze political cartoons.  We will analyze more cartoons next week.  Although we do not have a test date, students received their study guide for Ch 16. 

Homework: 

1.  Bring a political cartoon to class next Tuesday 11/11/08 - Use newspapers or magazines to locate your cartoon.  Do not use the internet. 

2.  Complete study guide - due Tuesday 11/11/08

Today's current events discussion centered around the results of the presidential election. We used the CNN Student News as our starting point and then took time to discuss some of the issues that were of importance to students.  We also discussed how this historic event is something they will remember and be able to share with their own children someday. 

On Monday we voted and the class results are as follows:
