2.  We reviewed causes of the conflict between Pakistan and India. We also completed our guided reading notes covering this lesson.

Homework: 

Textbook pages 611, 625, 627, and 633 - Complete each Skillbuilder activity.  Write both the question and an appropriate answer.  There are a total of 8 questions...2 per page.

It was great being back in school today.  We spent time learning about Mohandas Gandhi and his hopes for the people of India.  We also took notes on India's government after independence.  The students were asked to think about why the caste system changed in India after so many centuries.

Read pages 626-629 of textbook

Bring in newspaper article for current events assignment

Enjoy Spring Break

What a way to end the week.  The students enjoyed an excellent educational opportunity when we visited the King Tut and Terracotta Warriors exhibits Thursday.  This afternoon, we spent some time outdoors celebrating behavior.

1.  Enjoy your spring break week. 

2.  Remember to look through the newspaper and bring in one article that covers one of the countries we'll cover this year.   Let's bring this in on the Tuesday we return from spring break.

We played a review game once we finished our CRCT Review warmup.  Thank you Mr. Bruner for designing a great version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.  I believe the game really helped our students prepare for tomorrow's map test.
